In the scenes set in 1929 New York, the license plates on the cars use a 123-456 layout, but New York actually used an A1-234 format that year. While a 123-456 pattern was used back in 1921, those older plates were white on black, whereas the ones shown on screen are black on yellow.

Near the beginning of the movie when Van Damme's character arrests his former partner and they both crash through the window, the use of a cable decelerator is obvious. Instead of a natural plunge, they drop straight down in a distinctly controlled, slightly slowed motion as they fall.
