When the fallen lamp first hits the ground and settles, the glass and parts of the housing are sitting in the sunlight while the light itself is in the shadow, with the camera looking into the shaded side. By the time Truman comes outside to investigate, the light has been rotated in a completely new direction, the pieces of the housing have vanished, and the broken glass is spread out much wider than it was initially.
