Since a complete Bible in Braille requires up to 18 volumes due to the nature of the writing system, the single book Eli carries would only represent a small fragment of the entire text.

Eli admits he has been a walker for 30 years, yet he lacks the appearance of someone who has endured such physical hardship. He should be thin, but he is shown with a slight pot belly.

The movie portrays the Gatling gun as superior to other firearms, but even in the best-case scenario, its muzzle energy is only 10 percent higher than the 7.62x51mm NATO round used in weapons like the M60 or M240. It actually generates only about one-fourth the energy of the .50 BMG used in the M2 Browning, making it inferior to standard assault rifles and medium machine guns in that regard.

Eli and Solara remove the string from the bow far too easily. A real bow requires a significant amount of effort to bend in order to attach or remove the string, as that high tension is necessary for the weapon to shoot effectively.

Eli and Solara spend the night inside one of two cooling towers that are completely closed off at the ground level. Real cooling towers are designed to be open at the bottom to facilitate airflow, so they would not be sealed to the ground as shown in the film.
