When Ursa launches a manhole cover at Superman, forcing him backward into a car windshield, upon close observation of the stunt, it is clear that the prop is strapped to the actor’s waist using a belt. This mechanism was used to keep the manhole cover fixed in place while the actor was being pulled backward, inadvertently revealing the cinematic artifice behind the scene.

the sequence featuring Zod and Ursa’s nonchalant response to an aerial assault is undermined by a series of glaring continuity lapses regarding the attacking helicopter. The aircraft begins as an authentic military chopper, but as the scene progresses and the vehicle spirals out of control, it is replaced by an unmistakably small-scale model. By the time it is moments away from striking the building, the production cuts back to a full-sized helicopter—which, inexplicably, is an entirely different design from the one originally engaged in the attack.
