The *Dark Aster* suffers from fluctuating wing configurations during its final descent. Though the wings untwist upon atmospheric entry, they appear twisted again in following shots and holograms, only to finally untwist a second time during the battle.

The prison escape sequence contains a rapid-fire continuity error involving a guard's baton. After Gamora kicks the guard, her hand positioning and the baton's location shift impossibly between four consecutive cuts: from her hands being raised, to grabbing a wrist with the baton at her torso, then suddenly behind her head, and finally resting across her leg.

During the initial confrontation between Quill and Gamora, Quill uses a mechanical "laser-lasso" to trip her. Although Gamora pulls the device off her legs, the entire apparatus, including its physical hardware, vanishes instantly in the following shot. Even if the energy beam deactivated, the metallic components should have remained visible on the pavement.

The film's finale features a massive ship impact that completely flattens a section of the city. Despite the catastrophic destruction and the presence of numerous casualties, the visual details are sanitized: the survivors and bystanders appear perfectly groomed, lacking the thick layer of soot, debris, or dust that would realistically coat everyone following such a massive collision.

During the climactic distraction scene, the orientation of Ronan’s war hammer shifts inexplicably. As Star-Lord dances, the hammer's head is positioned to Ronan's left; however, the moment Drax fires his weapon, the head has instantly flipped to the right side. This structural reversal occurs between consecutive frames with no time for the character to have turned the weapon.
